Dive WIth Frank

Frank was patient and fantastic with us for our Dry Suit Class.  We left the pool feeling infinitely more confident than when we arrived!  Frank made sure to explain everything clearly and demo before we were asked to do it.  Frank was easy to communicate with to make arrangements and get everything set up for the PADI course. PADI Drysuit Diver Specialty – Because Shivering Is Overrated

Recently joined Frank for a Zombie Apocalypse Diver specialty and had a great time! Great instructor who adapted the course to the students easily and made sure it was both educational and fun. Would absolutely take a class with him again in the future. The ZAD class itself is worth it for the opportunity to play with bubble ring guns ALONE!

October 2025 Oyster Dive

Great time as always! This is my second trip with Frank. Well organized and planned. I am looking forward to doing it again next year. 

Frank is an excellent instructor who is very passionate, knowledgeable, and competent. He makes complex topics easily digestible, and so much fun!

We’re going oyster diving. If you love scuba diving and you love fresh oysters, this one’s a no-brainer. We’ll head out on the Chesapeake Bay for a small-group oyster harvest dive that’s equal parts cold water, good work, and excellent payoff. This is an organized, instructor-led dive for experienced divers. I handle the access, logistics, limits, and safety side of things so you can focus on diving and filling your bag.

Transportation to and from the dock is not included. You are responsible for arriving on time and ready to dive.

Weight yourself like salt water.</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">Temps: Typically 60s to low 70s in October, depending on conditions.</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">Exposure protection:&nbsp;7mm wetsuit minimum,&nbsp;hood and gloves strongly recommended</li></ul> You’ll be harvesting up to the legal limit of oysters. Expect real work. A bag of oysters weighs about the same as a bag of rocks, so proper lift is required. Do not plan on using your BCD as a flotation device for shellfish. The Dive

Join me on the morning of&nbsp;October 10th&nbsp;off&nbsp;Kent Island, Maryland&nbsp;for a classic Chesapeake Bay oyster dive. We’ll get in the water, do some honest work, and come home with fresh oysters, assuming you earn them. Show time is 7:00 am.The boat leaves at&nbsp;7:30 am sharp. Plan accordingly. This will be a&nbsp;two-tank dive&nbsp;in&nbsp;brackish water, so weight yourself like you would for salt water. Depth will be&nbsp;15 to 20 feet. October usually means&nbsp;60s to low 70s. Dress like you want to enjoy the second dive. You must bring a&nbsp;goodie bag&nbsp;and a&nbsp;lift bag. A bag of oysters weighs about the same as a bag of rocks, and your BCD is not designed to be a cargo hauler. Proper lift matters. Bring a&nbsp;cooler&nbsp;for transporting your oysters home.
