Confidence. Control. Better Dives.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is about doing exactly what the name promises: advancing your diving.
You donât need to be âadvancedâ to take this class. You just need to be comfortable underwater and ready to grow. This course builds confidence, improves awareness, and helps you make better decisions underwater through real dives in real conditions.
This is where diving starts to feel intentional instead of reactive.
Advanced Open Water is built around experience, not pressure.
Youâll complete five Adventure Dives, each designed to expand your comfort zone and sharpen specific skills. Youâll plan dives, log dives, and learn how to think through dives instead of just following along.
This is not a card-collecting exercise.
Itâs about becoming a more capable diver.
All students complete two required dives:
Deep Adventure Dive
Learn how to plan and execute deeper dives while managing gas, narcosis awareness, and task loading.
Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive
Refine compass skills, kick cycles, natural navigation, and situational awareness so you actually know where you are underwater.
These two dives alone dramatically increase confidence for most divers.
Youâll select three additional Adventure Dives based on interest, conditions, and location. Options may include:
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Night Diver
Digital Underwater Photography
Wreck Diver
Search and Recovery
Fish Identification
Dry Suit (conditions dependent)
Each Adventure Dive may count as credit toward the corresponding PADI Specialty course.
This course is ideal for:
Certified Open Water Divers ready to level up
Divers looking to build confidence and control
Anyone preparing for deeper or more complex dives
